Longings

Sometimes I long for His presence. This expresses my heart tonight.
Psalm 63:1 -7
O God, you are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you,
my body longs for you,
in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.
I have seen you in the sanctuary

and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.
Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.

Dear Pastor Marggy,
We were with Jeff and mindy the day of Joeys surgery. And watching him go through what he had to go through just broke my heart. I could hardly bare to see him in such pain... if only I could have taken his place.... and to watch Jeff and Mindys pain as they were so much wanting to comfort him. The thought occurred to me that we love our children so much and we love our grandbabies so much.... but even though we love with all of our being, how much MORE does God love each of us. We could not possibly love as much as he loves. And knowing how much my heart was breaking... God's heart had to be breaking EVEN MORE because of his great love for this precious baby boy. I know that He has our little man's future in His hands and I trust His heart. Your scripture in this blog meant alot to me. His presence is what we need. We just need to climb up on his lap and rest there. Be still and KNOW that he is God. Thank you for all of the wonderful thoughts you share in your blog.
