Quote

Most of us sincerely love the Lord and are thankful for all He has done. However, too many are more comfortable celebrating what Jesus has done than accepting who He desires to be to us. We sing of His victories and teach of His mercies, yet rarely do we quiet our hearts and surrender to His presence. We want Him near enough to protect us but not so close that our consciousness is captured by His presence.

Such a good point! This is something that just hit me, literally an hour ago. I just finished writing a song called Chosen, most of it inspired by the book of Ephesians. Seriously, like just an hour ago. It's about calling upon the Holy Spirit to help me understand what God desires from me, what it truly means that He chose to create me and save me, and what I must now do in return, who must I be, etc. Initially after finishing it, it was something I passionately wanted to share, but then I began doubting the relevance of the song and myself (sneaky devil!). I just happened to see that you had left a post and read it and got chills after seeing it. How many times will God have to tell me NOT to doubt what He's shared with me !?!? ;o)

Thanks for sharing!!!
